2023 A Round for Rylee

WE ARE BACK AGAIN FOR YEAR 6

The last 5 years, we have put every ounce of our hearts and souls into this event! It is the least we can do to honor the memory of Rylee. In her short time here earth side, she gave so many of us a lifetime of purpose to help change the statistics for those children diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. We will continue to do all that we can for as long as we are here.

Our names are Kate and Tyler Payne, we are the proud parents to a beautiful baby girl, Rylee. In September of 2017, when Rylee was just 11 months old, our lives were turned upside down when she was diagnosed with a childhood cancer called Neuroblastoma. Rylee went through a grueling fight: chemotherapy, stem cell transplant, a ten-hour surgery, and many hospital stays. With just eight months into the fight, cancer took over her body and she passed away on May 7th, 2018 in our arms. Our lives will forever feel a void without our beautiful baby girl, but we will be beyond grateful for the time we were able to share with her and are determined to keep her memory alive forever.

During Rylee’s treatment we learned some astonishing facts about childhood cancer that we hope change in the near future. Probably the most shocking though, was that only four percent of the funds that are raised for cancer research go to childhood cancer. With ninety percent of Neuroblastoma patients being diagnosed before the age of five, this is a statistic that needs to change. In honor of Rylee, we want to help give children diagnosed with cancer a better chance, a better future, a cure. We want to be sure other parents don’t suffer the heartache that has forever changed our lives.

On Friday, October 6th we will hold the 6th annual “A Round for Rylee” golf outing, raffle, and silent auction at Pleasant View Golf course in Middleton, WI. All proceeds raised will be donated to the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center in memory of Rylee Payne and will be used for Neuroblastoma research.

In her short time here with us, Rylee touched many lives and we feel inspired to continue to do the same in her memory. We hope that you are able to come out and celebrate our Rylee on October 6th!
